Good on Gordon

Saturday the 14^th of December 2019 was a red-letter day for more than one reason. Mr Gordon Ireland celebrated his 100^th birthday and, as far as we know, it was the first time that a resident of our community on the Anchor Tenants estate had achieved this wonderful landmark. Mr Ireland's son and daughter, Nick and Teresa, held a celebration party in Laburnum Hall. The party was a great success and was attended by many of his family and friends. Amongst the many cards that were on display was one from Her Majesty the Queen. We wish Mr Ireland and his family the very best for the future.
